Ucross Founder’s Day Well Attended
Even though there was rain in the forecast, over 200 community members joined Ucross for this year’s Founder’s Day on Saturday, May 30.
Caitlin Addlesperger, Ucross President and Executive Director, had this to say about Founder’s Day.

During the afternoon attendees connected with the 10 artists-in-residence and watched a live painting of the Little Red Shed by Ucross Fellow Katie Merz.

People could bring a picnic and eat lunch on the grounds or enjoy house-made pizza from the Ucross Café food truck, which offered house-made pizza, popsicles, and beverages for purchase throughout the day. Later, there was an unveiling of the new Ucross Art Gallery exhibition, “In Company,” which included an artist panel.

Addlesperger added about their founder, Raymond Plank, whose birthday they celebrate on Founder’s Day.
If anyone missed coming out on Founders Day, there are many other ways to connect with Ucross Addlesperger said.
She added that Ucross is grateful to the community members who came out to celebrate Founder’s Day with them.
