Gubernatorial Candidate Megan Degenfelder Hosts Meet And Greet In Sheridan
The top 5 spots in the Wyoming Government are up for grabs in this year’s election and one candidate in the Governor’s race was in Sheridan to talk with voters.
Republican candidate Megan Degenfelder hosted a meet and greet on Wednesday, June 3rd at Kendrick Park.
The current State Superintendent of Public Instruction says she’s running because she believes the next generation deserves a Wyoming that is stronger and freer than the one that has been inherited.
“I think people are worried about young people leaving the state of Wyoming. That’s a big problem. That’s part of why I’m running for this office, I’m tired of young people leaving. They want good jobs for the next generation and they want affordable communities where someone can actually afford to buy a house. These are real problems facing the people in the state of Wyoming and we need leaders that can really make that change and make it happen for them.”
The other Republican candidates in the Governor’s Race are Eric Barlow of Gillette, Curt Blake of Centennial and Brent Bien of Cody.
Primary election day in Wyoming is scheduled for August 18th.
Ken Casner of Elk Mountain is the lone Democrat in the race.
