Clearmont Spring Shop Hop To Be Held

The Clearmont Shop Hop will be held again this year after being suspended last year due to Covid-19. The Spring Shop Hop will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 30th and May 1, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. both days. As well as old favorites, such as Windrose Pottery and Riesland Rustics, new vendors are included this year. One new vendor this year is Linda Kernstock, SageRidge Mill and Critters.
According to Janet Reisland, of Reisland Rustics, the hop started in Nov. of 2016, when Peggy Roadifer of Windrose Pottery had an open house to display and sell her pottery. As a way to increase traffic, and give area crafters and small businesses a way to market their wares, Riesland Rustics, Stacy Ellenwood Photography and Turned Antiques opted in as well. Through the years, the Shop Hop has grown into a twice-yearly event, one being held the first weekend in May and another the first weekend in November. “We are hoping for good weather this year, and a good turnout,” Riesland said, adding that she has been pleased with the turn out in previous years. Riesland said that the Clearmont Community Church will sell lunch from 11-2. “This has been a positive aspect, having the church involvesd. It gives people a place to sit down, have a nice lunch and take a little break. The money raised from the lunch this year will be used for landscaping around the new parsonage.”
“The Shop Hop has been good for the community,” Riesland added.

Some businesses will have their products on display around Clearmont, and some ask interested parties to come to their businesses. There will be signs and balloons at the participating businesses.
Vendors included in the hop will be Vintiques of Wyoming, featuring shabby chic furniture and vintage items; Riesland Rustics, rusty repurposed metal art; Hallies Gals, quilted items; Weeping Willow Designs, western and Christian jewelry and graphic t-shirts; Sheeptrail, Indian Jewelry; Bear Creek Productions, cedar and burl wood creations; Windrose Pottery and Roady’s Woodcrafts, pottery and hand turned wooden bowls; and SageRidge Mill and Critters, alpaca fiber and products.
Everyone Welcome.
