Sheridan County Appraisers Recognized by Commission

Employees in the Sheridan County Assessor’s Office were recognized by the county commission by being awarded their state certificates earned by each of them.
Commission Chair Nick Siddle explained further.
County Assessor Paul Fall spoke to the commission, explaining the extensive training required for the individuals to get certified. Those getting certified need to pass 135 hours of classes to be fully certified and then have to complete 30 hours of ongoing education every other year to maintain their certification.
There were seven honored for permanent certification and two honored for temporary certification in the Assessor’s Office.

Now if we could just get the “Four Failed” commissioners to “Recognize” that they need to abide by the Law, when filling a vacancy on the Board.
The vacancy was made public in June 2023 and it took almost 100 days to fill the vacant seat. All because not one of the “Failed Four” could say the word, “Second.”
That’s way too long and a boatload of taxpayer money wasted, because the “Failed Four” were just too darn arrogant to do their Job! Bet the next vacancy (which could happen soon) will be filled quickly and by the written legal statute.
