STATE SWIMMING / DIVING – The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will compete at the state championships in Laramie prelims get underway today.
STATE VOLEYBALL – The state volleyball tournament starts today in Casper, the Big Horn Lady Rams will open with Kemmerer and the Tongue River Lady Eagles face Rocky Mountain.
RAMS FOOTBALL – The Big Horn football team survived a scare last week in the first round of the 2A playoffs at home against Mountain View, but recovered to win 28-26.
The Rams would fumble on their opening drive and the Buffaloes would cash in on the turnover, meaning the Rams had to fight an uphill battle for most of the game.
The Rams got their first and only lead of the game in the middle of the 4th quarter and hung on from there, Head coach Kirk McLaughlin explains what happened.
Special teams played a factor as well, Big Horn would block a point after try in the 2nd quarter, Mountain View missed a field goal just before halftime, and then the Rams stopped them short on a 2-point try.
Now the Rams host the other Bridger valley team, Lyman, in the semi-finals tomorrow kickoff is scheduled for noon. We will have the live broadcast of that game on KWYO 1410 AM and 106.9 FM.
BRONC FOOTBALL – The Sheridan Broncs will host Cheyenne Central we will have the game live for you tomorrow night, the First Federal bank and trust pregame show will start at 5:30 with kickoff at 6:00. you can hear it on KWYO 14-10 AM and 106.9 FM and our video web stream at sheridanmedia.com.
Broncs Head coach Jeff Mowry says any team playing in the final four can win the state title.
COWBOY FOOTBALL – The Wyoming Cowboys have won three in a row and have a break they are idle this week and will play at Colorado state November 12th.
BRONCO FOOTBALL -The Denver Broncos are on their bye week, they will play a road game at the Tennessee Titans November 13th.
JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks and Gillette will play another home and home series this week, they play in Gillette tomorrow night then at the M&M center Saturday night at 7:30.
