Sheridan HS Football Practice Starts: Football practice is now underway at Sheridan High School as the Broncs begin work on their quest to 5-peat as Wyoming 4A Champs.
The team has won 43 games in a row which is a Wyoming High School state record and the 5th longest active winning streak in the country.
Head Coach Jeff Mowry says those numbers are fun, but for now they’re in the past, and until the first game is played, those numbers might as well be at zero.
Players can’t put the pads on until Thursday.
Until then, Coach Mowry says the plan right now is to get the players’ bodies ready to play football.
The first game of the 2025 season is on Friday, August 29th at Cheyenne South.
The home opener is on Friday, September 5th against Thunder Basin.
All other classes of football can start practice next week.
Chris Prosinski Football Camp: Many players of many ages may have that dream of playing with the pros, and learning from a pro can provide a new perspective on some aspects of the game.
Buffalo High School grad, as well as former University of Wyoming and NFL player Chris Prosinski was on hand yesterday, at a 1-day football camp at the Buffalo High School Auxiliary Fields.
The camp was designed for those in grades one through eight, and a number of Buffalo High School football players were on hand to help out.
Prosinski says sometimes it takes more than just the coach to teach the lesson.
Prosinski graduated from Buffalo HS in 2006 and helped the Bison win 2 football state championships.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost the first game of their 3-game series last night at St. Louis 3-2, as the losing streak grows to 8 games.
Game 2 is today starting at 5:45pm.
