Sheridan Man Receives Suspended Sentence for Voyeurism Charge

Last year on September 1, 40-year-old Kenneth Matteson of Sheridan was arrested and charged with one count of Felony Voyeurism for allegedly placing a video camera in the bathroom of the business where he worked on North Main Street in Sheridan. Matteson, at a change of plea hearing in January in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan, entered a plea of “guilty” to the voyeurism charge.
District Court Judge John Fenn, at a sentencing hearing Tuesday, accepted the plea agreement that was reached with the State, and sentenced Matteson to 12 to 15 months of incarceration, suspended, in lieu of one-year of supervised probation. Judge Fenn also ordered Matteson to pay $825 in various court costs and attorney fees. Matteson was also ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and subsequent treatment if recommended in the evaluation.
