SCLT to host children’s nature program May 2 at Welcome Center

The Sheridan Community Land Trust has announced they will host a children’s nature program from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at the SCLT Welcome Center, 14 Lane Ln., in Sheridan.

The program, “Move Like a Fox, Listen Like a Bunny,” is designed for young children and will combine movement, imagination and outdoor learning through hands-on activities. Participants will mimic animal behaviors, such as stalking like a fox or listening like a rabbit, while exploring how wildlife moves and survives in nature.

According to SCLT, the program encourages children to slow down, observe their surroundings and build curiosity, confidence and awareness outdoors through simple games and guided activities.

The event is free and open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend.
