SCLT debuts new Welcome Center
The new Sheridan Community Land Trust said the new Welcome Center is more than a building, it’s a place to explore the connections between land, history, and community in Sheridan County.
According to SCLT, designed to be hands-on and engaging, the space features three exhibit “neighborhoods”—History, Recreation, and Conservation—where visitors can interact, discover, and learn by doing. From immersive experiences like Creatures of the Night to hands-on exploration in The Den, the Welcome Center invites curiosity at every turn.
The Welcome Center is a work in progress, with new exhibits, programs, and updates continuing to take shape over time, making each visit a little different.
The Welcome Center at the Big Goose Natural Area is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with select Saturday hours. Visitors are welcome to explore on their own, and guided visits can be scheduled upon request.
Stop in, explore, and discover something new.
