It is with great sadness to inform you that Rush Limbaugh passed away today, February 17th after a long and brave battle with lung cancer.  In this time of sorrow, Rush’s voice will continue to be heard, providing comfort and continued insight to his legions of loyal fans.

All of Rush’s audio has been extensively archived and cataloged by subject, topic and opinion.  Given how timeless and insightful Rush’s commentary is his producers will be able to pull segments that are relevant for each day’s news cycle and allow us to feature the best of Rush for the full three hours of the program.

The familiar voices of the programs’ guest hosts will be used in the show when needed to guide Rush’s audio from one topic to another, but Rush will be the predominant voice heard for the three-hour Monday-Friday show, the AM Daily Update and The Week in Review three-hour show.

Please note that we will continue with this transitional programming until further notice.

In 1987, the Reagan Administration terminated the Federal Communications Commission “fairness doctrine” (Political sectarianism in America, Science, 30 Oct 2020). The 1949 doctrine required broadcasters to discuss controversial topics in an unbiased manner. Rush Limbaugh was one of the first to leverage the demise of doctrine, syndicating his conservative program nationally in 1988. This compounded in 1996 with Fox News and challenged the ethos of CNN. Ten years later, MSNBC became the liberal pivot. People who are already sectarian naturally gravitate to similar content.

Politically slanted media and political entertainment pundits who espouse their beliefs and feelings have effectively removed fact based critical thinking skills from at least two generations of citizens.

There was NOTHING fair about the “so called” fairness doctrine! Allowed media outlets to profess one side! Rush brought fairness and accountability to media outlets.

I can’t help but think that the Good Lord said to Rush Limbaugh: “Well, you fought your way through the Clinton years and the Obama years and I believe it’s time for you to rest, especially given what’s coming up in your country for the foreseeable future.” I view this as an act of mercy, sparing Rush from the outrageous destruction of our constitutional republic which the Democrat Party seems intent on inflicting on the USA. God rest his soul. Whatever you think of his politics, he was a fighter and will be missed by millions.

On the contrary the failed GOP has been the party of destruction …especially the last 4 years of fascist type rule from a wannabe king.

Did they surround DC with an army complete with razor wire fences while the white house occupier signed 50+ EOs that someone else wrote within the first month?
