SC offers Public Pesticide Application Course
The Sheridan County Weed and Pest District is alerting the public to a pesticide application course that will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3, at Sheridan College in room MAC 191, providing hands-on training for individuals working with agricultural chemicals.
According to Sheridan College, the weekend course will focus on how to safely handle, apply and dispose of chemicals such as herbicides, insecticides and fertilizers, with an emphasis on proper selection, application methods and environmental responsibility.
Participants who complete the course will be eligible to take the Wyoming Private or Commercial Applicator Exam, which will allow them to purchase and use restricted-use chemicals.
