Buffalo Council Continues Pickleball Paint Decision
The Buffalo City Council considered a decision on allowingCloud Peak Pickleball
to make changes to the shared tennis/pickleball courts in Washington Park to make it easier for pickleballers to see their courts.
What is being asked is for the city to allow paint schemes for pickleball to be more prominent. Not to remove tennis players from using the courts, but to make it easier for pickleballers to see their courts more easily.
City Works Director Kevin Silbernagel told the council he had looked into the possibility, but said there would be substantial costs for materials.
Silbernagel added that the cost to refurbish the tennis courts near the Buffalo Childrens Center would be even higher, and would dictate a separate discussion at another time.
The council then voted to continue the decision on painting the tennis courts to a future meeting.
