Arraignment Held for Sheridan Man Charged With Ten Felonies

An arraignment hearing was held Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for 31-year-old Jerimiah Thompson-Musquiz, who is charged with ten felonies for his role in a string of storage unit burglaries in Sheridan County. The alleged crimes occurred between February and mid April of this year. Thompson-Musquiz pleaded “not guilty” to eight counts of Felony Burglary, one count of Felony Attempted Burglary and one count of Felony Conspiracy to Commit Burglary.

Thompson-Musquiz, at Tuesday’s hearing, admitted to knowingly violating his bond when he failed to show up for a previously scheduled arraignment hearing. The defendant also cut off his ankle monitor, left the State of Wyoming without permission, and had contact with the co-defendant in the case, 29-year-old Rachael Rodriguez, all of which were violations of his bond. District Court Judge John Fenn reset the defendant’s bond at $100,000 cash only, and said that the trial and pretrial conference would be set at a later date. If convicted on all ten counts, Thompson-Musquiz faces up to 100 years in prison and fines of up to $100,000.
