SC Bighorn Jazz Orchestra to present the Great American Songbook
Sheridan College will present the Bighorn Jazz Orchestra in a performance celebrating the Great American Songbook at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 2, in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts in Sheridan.
During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan College Director of Bands and Jazz Studies Dr. Eric Richards said this concert will feature classic jazz and big band made famous by artists such as Benny Goodman, George Gershwin and Count Basie.
Directed by Richards, the orchestra includes professional musicians, many of whom serve on the faculties of the University of Colorado, Colorado Christian University, Montana State University, Central Washington University, Northwest College, and Sheridan College.
Richards said a rising talent, vocalist Julie Koenig will make her Sheridan debut.

Tickets range from $10 to $25 and are available through the Sheridan College box office or by clicking here. The box office opens an hour prior to each performance.
