Homer A. and Mildred S. Scott Foundation Executive Director Jenny Craft and Sheridan Community Land Trust Executive Director Brad Bauer made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss the property located at the old NSI School in Sheridan.
This location formerly served as the grounds and facilities utilized by The Normative Services Academy. Once the school closed, the Homer A. and Mildred S. Scott Foundation seized the opportunity to make another positive impact on the Sheridan community.

The grounds came with the facilities needed to support a self sustaining school, including limited staff housing. These homes were refurbished and put to use by the foundation.

With SCLT now located on the property along with Rooted in Wyoming, Science Kids and other nonprofits, more facilities and grounds are being renovated and improved upon for use by the public with much still in conceptual phases.
Bauer said all the work the Scott Foundation and nonprofits have put into the facilities is already paying off in dividends with much more yet to come.
