Timothy R. Lindley
Timothy R. Lindley, known to most as “Yogi,” was born on October 31, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas. He passed away on February 22, 2026.
Yogi lived in many places throughout Texas over the years, but Waller was always home in his heart. He graduated from Waller High School in 1979. After high school, he served a short time in the United States Air Force, then went on to heating and air-conditioning trade school. He built his life the old-fashioned way — through hard work and steady hands — and eventually settled in Sheridan, Wyoming, where he made his final home.
Yogi wasn’t flashy. He didn’t need attention. He was just solid. The kind of man who showed up.
If there was snow on your driveway, he had a shovel in his hand before you could ask. If something was broken, he’d fix it. If a yard needed mowing, he’d take care of it. He did those things quietly, without making a big deal about it. That was simply who he was.
He loved being around family and would do anything for them. When his mom and dad were sick, he stepped in and took care of them — no hesitation, no complaints. He enjoyed watching football and baseball in his downtime and found joy in the simple things.
Yogi was a man who appreciated order and took pride in keeping things just right. His home and surroundings reflected that about him. And anyone who knew him knew this: he didn’t miss a day without his Malt-O-Meal. Some habits just stick, and that one sure did.
He attended Grace Baptist Church in Sheridan and served wherever he was needed. He didn’t chase recognition. He simply lived out his faith the same way he lived everything else, steady, dependable, and faithful. We believe he stepped from this life into the next and was welcomed home after a life of quiet faithfulness. He wasn’t building applause here; he was building something eternal.
He is survived by his sister, Melody Lindley of Sheridan, Wyoming; his brother, Michael (Mary) Lindley of Melbourne, Florida; His Aunt Sherry of Sheridan Wy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly.
He will be missed more than words can say. But his example of showing up, serving others, loving his family well, and living with quiet integrity, will not be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life is at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church, 1959 E. Brundage Lane, Sheridan, WY. Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
