We conclude our series with U.S. Senator John Barrasso (WY-R) today with his thoughts on the energy industry moving forward. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Senator Barrasso: American Energy Needs to Remain a Priority

Senator Barrasso is the ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. He said he will continue to make Wyoming energy his focus now and in the future.

Senator Barrasso

Barrasso said the Biden Administration’s policies are punishing American energy and making the country energy dependent and giving power to Vladimir Putin and Russia.

Barrasso said America is now producing 1.4 million fewer barrels of oil each and every day than we were prior to the pandemic, and we are now using more oil from Russia than we are from Alaska, and it is the direct result of the Biden policies.

More talk, and no action. Barrasso takes orders from mitch. Wyoming? Not so much.

…barrasso makes a good point for now…but when nuclear power, renewable energy and potential futuristic fusion energy dominates the energy industry in a few decades the global order will be turned upside down on it’s head…so Wyoming and the USA had better make preparation for the inevitable future…

There is now-and there is the future. FOR NOW-it is idiocy to try and turn off the tap as Biden has done in his pandering. The net effect is serious pain to working families and a kick in the nuts to the economy, while shifting our previous export stance on energy to one of increased vulnerability and dependence. If my desire is better fuel economy, my approach isn’t to shut off the truck between gas stations and call a tow truck.

Then perhaps you need a smaller truck.

We all know our country and state are being ruined and it seems people don’t have a say in what our representatives are doing. How can we sit back and watch so much be destroyed and not do anything. Do we only complain and not stand up for our country and what so many people have fought for. I am will to be on any committee to help save our country and not watch it destroyed.

I don’t see much vision on energy issues from either party past whoever happens to be donating to them.

“Fossil fuels will never be replaced”, maybe we ought to be working on a realistic plan for what we’re going to do when they run out? That’s something I don’t see either party seriously addressing.
