The Rocks play their first 7-games of the 2024 regular season on the road, including the first of 4 tonight, at the Arizona Diamondbacks.
You can hear tonight’s game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.
Rockies Pre-Game starts at 7:30pm and first pitch is scheduled for 8:10.
Last year was the worst season in Rocks history, as the team put together a record of 59-103.
Tonight Colorado will put Kyle Freeland on the mound who started 29 games last year and compiled a record of 6-14 with an ERA of 5.03.
The Rocks’ home opener is scheduled for one week from tomorrow against Tampa Bay.
Sheridan Troopers Preparing For 2024 Season: The 2024 Legion season is almost set to begin in both Wyoming and in Sheridan.
The Troopers have been practicing for some time and are taking it easy this week with spring break, but starting Monday things get serious.
Sheridan’s first game is on Saturday, April 6th which is one week from this coming Saturday, at home against defending A-League State Champ Powell.
Head Coach Austin Cowen says for the most part, practices have been going well, because the team has been able to spend a lot of time outside.
Looking at the schedule, the big home games of note, aside from next week Saturday, are on Tuesday, June 4th against Cheyenne Post 6 and on Sunday, July 21st against Gillette.
Sheridan County HS Track and Field: Sheridan, Big Horn, Tongue River and Arvada-Clearmont are all scheduled to compete at a meet tomorrow at Buffalo.
For the Rams and Eagles, this will be their first meet of the season.
Sheridan College Rodeo: Five Sheridan College competitors placed in the top 7 at this past weekend’s event at Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington.
Wyatt Phelps won the bull riding event and got himself back into 3rd place in the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings, which is where a competitor needs to be at the end of the season to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo.
Last year, he placed 4th overall at the CNFR and this season got off to a good start, but then he hit a slump which ended this past weekend.
Thankfully most of the field has been unable to catch-up to him in the standings.
Phelps says with 3 rodeos to go, all he can do is just show up and ride.
Other Sheridan College Rodeo competitors that placed this past weekend include Clancy Glenn and Chris Nelson who were 6th and 7th overall respectively in the saddle bronc riding.
Davis Otto was 7th in the bareback riding, and Faith Heim was 5th overall in the barrel racing.
She ended up winning the championship short-go.
The Sheridan College rodeo team is off from competition this weekend and are back in action next weekend at Colorado State.

The NCAA Tournament resumes tonight.
San Diego State will play in the Sweet 16 at 5:39pm Mountain Time in Boston, against top seed UConn.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets lost last night at home vs. Phoenix, 104-97.
With 9 games to go in the regular season, Denver is holding on to the #1 seed in the west for the playoffs, but only by the slimmest of margins.
