Sheridan HS Football: Sheridan High School Football players got a lot of experience in their season opening 54-10 win at Rock Springs this past Friday.
Seven different Broncs scored including one kickoff return.

The overall winning streak is now at 56, and as far as the road winning streak goes, that is #21 which is currently the third longest winning streak in Wyoming High School Football history.
Sheridan is scheduled to play its home opener this coming Friday vs. Cheyenne South, who have lost 57 in a row.
Tongue River/Big Horn/Buffalo HS Football: Tongue River went to Riverton and lost against Pinedale 50-21.
The Eagles are on the road this coming Friday against Thermopolis.
Big Horn played a scrimmage against Cody.

Both teams played regular football for the first half.
In the second half, each team had a possession, then worked on situational plays and gave the JV’s some playing time.
The Rams are scheduled to play an exhibition game this Friday as they will go to Wheatland, to take on Pine Bluffs, who are a 9-man team.
Buffalo played a scrimmage against Lovell on Saturday.
The Bison open the season on Friday at Cody.
Sheridan/Johnson County HS Volleyball: Sheridan went 3-2 in games played at the Cheyenne Invitational.
Big Horn went 4-1 to finish as runners-up at the Douglas Invitational.
Tongue River started their first year in 3A by going 4-0 at the Lander Invitational.
Buffalo was also at the Douglas Invite and went 2-3 to start the season.

All 4 teams are scheduled to play at the Gillette Invitational this coming Friday and Saturday.
Sheridan/Johnson County HS Golf: Easton Lewis of Tongue River finished first on the boys side by 1 stroke at the Kendrick Invitational this past Friday, while Talitha Winfrey of TR finished first on the girls side.
Addison Bettinger of Buffalo won the girls competition at the Cody Invitational.
Buffalo hosts a meet this coming Thursday and Friday.
Sheridan and TR are both scheduled to attend.
Big Horn will head to a meet on Saturday at Lusk.
Sheridan HS Tennis: The Sheridan boys and girls went a combined 6-0 in road duals vs. Jackson, Cody and Powell.

The teams are back at home this coming Friday, against both Cheyenne South and Torrington.
Sheridan/Johnson County HS Cross Country: Eli Balkenbush of Sheridan finished 1st in the boys race of the Casper Invitational held on Casper Mountain.
The Broncs would finish 1st in the team standings and the Lady Broncs were 3rd.
They are next scheduled to compete on Friday at Spearfish, South Dakota.
At the Billings Invitational, Lyla Marney of Big Horn was 8th in the girls race.
Buffalo is scheduled to host a meet this coming Friday.
Sheridan/Buffalo HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan started the season at a 2-day meet in Laramie, while Buffalo was at Rawlins.
Both are scheduled to swim at Natrona County this weekend.
College Football: Defending FCS National Champ Montana State started their season this past Saturday with an easy win at Utah Tech 54-zip.
Sheridan High School grad Dane Steel was the leading receiver as he caught 8 passes for 174 yards, including a 55-yarder for the first score of the game.
The Bobcats play their home opener this coming Saturday against Butler University, located out of Indianapolis.
Meanwhile, the Wyoming Cowboys start their season this coming Saturday and it’s Sheep Week.
The Pokes visit Fort Collins for what is now a non-conference game, since CSU is now a part of the PAC-12.
Kickoff south of the border is scheduled for 4pm.
Denver Broncos Pre-Season Football: The Denver Broncos won their final pre-season game this past Friday at home vs. Minnesota 34-6.
Backup QB Sam Ehlinger was 15 of 20 passing for 233 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception.
Jarrett Stidham was 6 of 9 for 78 yards.
Catching the touchdowns were Justin Joly, Cody Schrader and Jaleel McLaughlin.
Adam Prentice ran one score in and Will Lutz kicked 2 field goals.
Roster cuts had to be made by 4pm yesterday and among the cuts were Joly, McLaughlin and Prentice, along with Red Murdock who was this year’s Mr. Irrelevant in the draft.
All NFL teams have this week off from competition.
The Broncos start the season 2 weeks from today with a Monday night contest at Kansas City.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost all 3 games this past weekend at Atlanta.
Friday’s score was 6-4.
Saturday’s score was 2-1 and yesterday’s final tally was 3-2 in 10 innings.
In that last game, Jake McCarthy hit a solo home run.
The Rocks return home for a 6-game homestand today with the first of 3 vs. Baltimore.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm.
