Walker Kimberly Burton was a delight. We met while he portrayed a soldier during the annual Last Stand Reenactment in Hardin. He accompanied my daughter to the period Military Ball and made lifelong friends from Italy and Scotland. His vacation time was spent in Hardin and Crow Agency where he participated in the parades and Real Bird Reenactment. He portrayed Reno in a special program at the auditorium and gave talks at the Sheridan Inn. I helped him research his family and find long-lost relatives that he hadn’t seen for years. Our friendship continued when he worked at Fort Mackenzie in Sheridan where my father was a patient in the nursing home and my daughter also worked for the VA. I was always to happy to hear from him since he phoned almost daily. His health became an issue and he was forced to retire.
