KIDS COUNT Data Book Shows Children’s Health Remains an Issue
The 2020 Annie E. Casey Foundation’s annual KIDS COUNT Data Book that was recently released ranked Wyoming 16th in the nation overall. Like previous years’ reports, the data evaluates 16 key indicators in the domains of economic well-being; education; family and community; and health. Wyoming ranked in the top 20 on three of the four indicators. Wyoming Community Foundation Director of Programs and Communication Micah Richardson says that Wyoming ranked 34th in health, and that continues to be an area of concern in the state.
Richardson said that Wyoming continues to rank well in the family and community domain.
We’ll conclude our series on the KIDS COUNT Data Book Friday with a look how the data can be utilized to improve the well-being of kids and families in Wyoming.
