Chamber CEO Discusses Business Interruption Stipend Program
The Wyoming Business Council began accepting applications Monday for the Wyoming Business Interruption Stipend. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The Wyoming Business Interruption Stipend is a program that offers grants of up to $50,000 to independent Wyoming businesses who, as of March 31 of this year, employed 50 or fewer full-time employees.
The program is one of three that were created by the Legislature during last month’s special session to distribute $325 million of Wyoming’s $1.25 billion allocation from the CARES Act to Wyoming small-business owners who have experienced hardship related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce CEO Dixie Johnson says that $50 million has been appropriated for the Wyoming Business Interruption Stipend.
You can access the application for the stipend by clicking on the following link: https://wyomingbusiness.org/wyobizrelief. A grant program for businesses with 100 or fewer employees, as well as a reimbursement program for health and safety expenses incurred by businesses of all sizes are expected to launch early next month. Eligible businesses will be allowed to apply for more than one grant program.
