A three-day jury trial remains scheduled for August 10 for Shannon Nesheim. District Court Judge Darci Phillips said at Tuesday’s hearing that the standard 50 prospective jurors will be summoned for the jury selection process for the upcoming trial. According to court documents, on January 23, 2026 Special Agents with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation arrested Nesheim after executing a search warrant on her residence in Sheridan.

She was charged with multiple crimes; delivery of a controlled substance – methamphetamine; conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance –  methamphetamine; three counts of endangering children for knowingly being in possession of methamphetamine with children present in her home, and misdemeanor marijuana possession. All of the alleged crimes occurred between November 1 of 2025 and January 23, 2026.

The arrest and charges were the result of an investigation by DCI into Nesheim distributing methamphetamine in the Sheridan area. A controlled buy was arranged by DCI where Nesheim sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant while she was babysitting three children in her home. If convicted on all six charges, Nesheim faces up to 56 years in prison and fines totaling $66,000.
