National Hot Dog Day

The Wyoming Corporate Office sponsored a hot dog eating contest at The Mint Bar Wednesday. The seven contestants had 10 minutes to eat 10 hot dogs and 10 buns. Sheridan’s Matt Burnett led them all by eating nine-and-half. Nub’s BBQ furnished the hot dogs and offered free hot dogs and brats before the contest.

Burnett said he did not eat throughout the day and was just passing by The Mint when he learned of the free dinner. He decided to wait to eat until the contest. As the former U.S. Army drill sergeant said, “Always be ready.”
