University of Wyoming Ranked in Top 50 ‘Best Value Public Universities’

The University of Wyoming has been recognized as one of the nation’s best values in higher education, ranking No. 41 on SmartAsset’s 2026 list of America’s Best Value Public Universities

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, University of Wyoming Director of Internal Communications Chad Baldwin said SmartAsset evaluated more than 500 public colleges and universities using a metric that looks at three topics.

UW was one of only three universities in the Rocky Mountain West to make the top 50. Baldwin said the ranking reflects the school’s commitment to affordability while preparing students for successful careers through hands-on learning and quality academic programs.
