The Brinton Adds First Look & Sale to Museum’s 11th Annual Bighorn Rendezvous 

Brinton Museum Executive Director Kendra Heimbuck, Curatorial Director Jochen Wierich and featured artist John Potter appeared on Public Pulse inviting the public to experience this unique celebration of western art; The Brinton Museum’s Annual Bighorn Rendezvous and Quickdraw.

Artists who are featured in the exhibit will gather on the grounds of the historic Quarter Circle A Ranch for the annual Quickdraw, creating original works live from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday Aug 1.

Free and open to the public, The Quickdraw offers visitors the opportunity to watch artists at work in a very unique outdoor setting. With only three hours to create, artists will work differing techniques and utilize differing mediums to produce a one-of-a-kind work.

A ticketed Brunch & Art Auction will follow, offering collectors the opportunity to purchase the freshly completed pieces. Guests can meet the artists and talk about their creations. 

This year the Bighorn Rendezvous Exhibition features 17 nationally recognized artists working in painting, sculpture and ceramics, with subjects ranging from landscapes and wildlife to figurative works.

Wierich said this year’s Bighorn Rendezvous Exhibition showcases that eclectic collection of Western art with a variety of perspectives.

The Bighorn Rendezvous Exhibition will be on display through Sept. 21 for those unable to attend the opening events.

New this year is a First Look & Sale that opens Friday evening. Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31, this ticketed event will offer participants to be among the first to preview the exhibition, meet the participating artists, and purchase available artwork before the weekend festivities begin.
