CHG to Hold Sixth Annual Ice Cream Social

The sixth annual ice cream social and silent auction hosted by Clearmont Historical Group (CHG) will be held on Sunday, August 2, from 11 until 2. The event is held in Branding Iron Park, and there are activities for the youngsters as well as free ice cream sundaes and enjoying the playground.

All are welcome to come and enjoy ice-cream sundaes and bid on silent auction items.

The silent auction is a fund raiser for the Clearmont Historical Group to help the upkeep and maintenance on the Clearmont Historical Center and Museum. Anyone wishing to donate items to the silent auction are asked to have their items to the Historical Center on or before July 31.

The Sandy Hirz, director of the CHG, also announced that long-time resident and volunteer at the Center, Fran Felz, is moving away the end of the month. There will be a potluck going away party for her on July 25, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the Felz home on highway 14-16. All are welcome to attend.
