COVID-19
Making Masks
People all over the country have taken to their sewing machines to produce homemade face masks in an effort to help during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter recently spoke with a Sheridan woman who is doing her part to help others in a time of need.

Sheridan resident Deb Pfau has been spending most of her free time lately in her sewing room producing homemade facemasks to help with the mask shortage due to the COVID-19 crisis. Pfau said that a little over a week ago she began her mask making mission.

Pfau says that she’s made about 100 masks so far and that it typically takes 30 minutes to make each mask.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital announced last week that they are accepting homemade masks and personal protective equipment. More information on how to donate to Memorial Hospital can be found here: https://sheridanmedia.com/corona/15720/hospital-seeks-help-from-community/ Other ways to donate, and a video tutorial of how to make the masks, can be found here: https://www.deaconess.com/How-to-make-a-Face-Mask?fbclid=IwAR1rKQxOwAZQQ7Ca4Gz9s0jqbRmXg3sAAkXh9GYhKlVJ1kRDTceKz6Qj7zs
