Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council, at their regularly scheduled meeting Monday night, received an update on the growing number of COVID-19 cases in the area. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Sheridan County Health Officer Dr. Ian Hunter provided a COVID-19 update to the Council Monday night. Dr. Hunter addressed the rise in cases in Sheridan County.
Dr. Hunter talked about the number of ventilators available at Sheridan Memorial Hospital and how many COVID-19 patients could be treated at the hospital.
Dr. Hunter said COVID-19 is like nothing he’s ever seen before in his career in medicine.
Dr. Hunter said they are not seeing COVID transmission in the schools, adding that School District’s 1, 2, and 3 have done a fantastic job making sure that all the students are wearing masks.

According to the county website there are 3 Covid hospitalizations . Not a typo. 3. This is a joke, as is Dr. Hunter and his desperate attempt to extend his time in the limelight. There is no transmission in the school district because there is no Covid present to transmit. Upward of 80% of positive cases nationally have self identified as people who “ mostly or always wear masks”. Making children cover their faces has nothing to do with lack of transmission. Again, let’s stop pretending we have a problem here. Everyone is laughing at us.

Ted, are you an MD? Let’s leave the managing of our nation’s health to the people who are knowledgeable and trained to do so. Your note about transmission in schools is categorically incorrect (call any district principal), as there have been multiple students who have tested positive but have not transmitted it BECAUSE THEY ARE WEARING THEIR MASKS. Do your research, listen to doctors instead of politicians, and be a part of the solution instead of part of the problem. We all want things to go back to normal.

Since you’re incapable of understanding nuance,or making decisions for yourself, I’ll put it like this- when these knowledgeable and trained individuals tell you and your children to get vaccinated, I better see you at the very front of that line

A big thank you to Dr. Hunter and the entire healthcare community for using science based information to provide care for all of us.

Actually there are positive cases at the Sheridan High School. If they aren’t transmitting it then why does almost a whole team and a coach have it? Cloth masks do not prevent the spread. For droplet precautions you need a surgical mask at a minimum and for airborne precautions you need a n95 or a respirator mask at minimum.
