Ron RichterThe Wyoming Department of Health continues to increase their COVID-19 testing capabilities. State Health Officer Dr. Alexia Harrist said that the capacity of the Wyoming Public Health Laboratory has grown.
Dr. Harrist said that as part of the increased testing effort, the State Lab has begun testing wastewater treatment facilities in some Wyoming communities.
Dr. Harrist said that the first stage of the wastewater project includes sites that were already pursuing this type of testing with other labs and that the next step in the plan will involve larger communities in the state with any interested smaller locations coming later.
