Ron RichterWyoming State Health Officer Dr. Alexia Harrist, speaking at Governor Gordon’s COVID-19 news conference this week, provided an in-depth explanation of the term “contact tracing.” Dr. Harrist said that contact tracing is the process of identifying people who may have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Dr. Harrist said that a five member team from the Centers for Disease Control arrived in Wyoming this week and that they will be focusing on prevention and management of COVID-19 within long-term care facilities and other communal settings, as well as data management and analysis.
