Ron RichterThe Wyoming Department of Health announced Wednesday night that at Teton County man has died from COVID-19. The Department of Health, in a news release, stated that the Teton County resident previously identified as one of Wyoming’s laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus. The newly confirmed death involves an older man hospitalized in another state who had existing conditions that put him at higher risk of serious illness related to the virus. As of Wednesday night, there are now 7 reported deaths, 326 lab-confirmed cases and 121 probable cases reported in Wyoming.
Department of Health recommendations to help prevent the spread of the virus include following public health orders and staying at home as much as possible; staying at home when sick and avoiding contact with other people unless you need medical attention; following common-sense steps such as washing your hands often and well; covering your coughs and sneezes; and cleaning and disinfecting, and wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
