Sheridan HS Football: The Sheridan High School Football team has won the last 5 Wyoming High School 4A State Championship trophies, but there’s another trophy that they’ve been able to hang onto in each of the past 9 seasons.
The Energy Bowl trophy is on the line today, as the Broncs visit Campbell County.
The Camels are 1-1 so far this season and Sheridan Head Jeff Mowry says the opposition is still trying to put a few things together.
Kickoff in Gillette is scheduled for 6pm.

Ever since Thunder Basin High School opened, Campbell County is 0-10 against the Broncs, including last year’s state championship game.
Big Horn/Tongue River/Buffalo HS Football: Big Horn did pretty much whatever they wanted to last night in the Thunder Bowl at home vs. Tongue River…80-13.

The Rams are at home next week vs. Glenrock, while the Eagles will play their home opener vs. Newcastle.
As for Buffalo, the team plays their home opener today vs. Green River.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.
Sheridan/Johnson County HS Volleyball: Sheridan is scheduled to play their home opener tomorrow against Riverton beginning at 2pm.
Big Horn swept Pine Bluffs in their first home game of the season last night.
The Lady Rams host the BH Invitational and play 4 games today and 3 tomorrow vs. various 2A opponents.
Tongue River and Buffalo are both at the Rawlins Invitational and will play 3 games today vs. various 3A opponents.
Tomorrow’s schedule and opponents are dependent on today’s results.
Arvada-Clearmont is scheduled to play 2 on the road this weekend, starting today at Hulett and tomorrow at the Wyo Classical Academy in Mills.
Kaycee is at home today vs. Meeteese beginning at 4pm and are at Upton tomorrow.

The Sheridan boys and girls are scheduled to play their home finale tomorrow vs. both Thunder Basin at 10am and Campbell County at 1pm.
The Regional Tournament is next weekend in Gillette.
Sheridan County HS Cross Country: Sheridan and Big Horn are scheduled to run at a meet tomorrow in Bozeman, Montana.
Tongue River runs today at Douglas.
Next weekend is the Michelle Ludwig Invitational in Sheridan.
Sheridan/Buffalo HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan is at the Kelly Walsh Invitational tomorrow.
Buffalo is competing today at a quad meet in Worland, and tomorrow at the Powell Invitational.
Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks start the 2026-27 season with games today and tomorrow at Rapid City.
The puck drops at 7:05pm in both games.
The home opener is scheduled for 2 weeks from today.
College Sports/Chris Prosinski UW Athletics Hall Of Fame Induction: The Wyoming Cowboys play their home opener tomorrow as they entertain Northern Colorado.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.
Also this weekend the UW Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be inducted.
Among those who will be immortalized will be Buffalo High School grad and former NFL player Chris Prosinski.
He finished his UW career ranked fourth in career tackles with 373, and had 140 tackles in 2009, which ranks fifth in school history for a single season.
Prosinksi is the 2006 Milward Simpson Award winner and helped Buffalo High School win the football state championship in 2004 and 2005.
He says right before his high school junior year started, is when his college future became set in stone.
Other UW athlete inductions this weekend include basketball players Josh Adams and Hillary Carlson, and the 1996 Cowboy football team.
Elsewhere, Montana State is testing the Mountain West Conference waters tomorrow.
The Bobcats play at Nevada.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30pm.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies ended up getting swept on the road against the New York Yankees, losing Wednesday 6-1 and yesterday 10-3.
In Wednesday’s game Connor Norby provided the 1, with a solo home run.
Kyle Karros went yard yesterday on his own.
The Rocks start a 3-game series today at Detroit.
First pitch is scheduled for 4:40pm.
Tomorrow’s game starts at 11:10am and Sunday’s game at 10:10am.
