SA&RC: Empower before Incidents
The Sheridan Advocacy & Resource Center provides advocacy and crisis intervention services for individuals and families experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and other traumatic situations in Sheridan County.
Assistant Director and Victim Witness Coordinator Rhonda Weber recently explained on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse that many people mistakenly believe they must be in immediate danger before seeking help.

Weber said advocacy services often focus on stabilization, emotional support, safety planning, protection orders, court accompaniment and connecting people with community resources.
The center also helps individuals understand their options and navigate complicated systems while empowering clients to make decisions that best fit their own situations and needs. Weber said advocates do not and will never make decisions for victims.
