cvannoySheridan County School District #3 held their monthly meeting on November 13 in the Arvada-Clearmont School.
Activities director Jennifer Betz reported on what was happening this month in school. In December the student council will be doing secret Santas. She also talked about the junior high and high school music students that had attended clinics, and the upcoming Christmas concert.
The elementary concert will be from 5 p.m. to 5:45.
There is no charge for the concert and supper, but those planning to attend should RSVP before November 26 to the school to make sure there is adequate food.
In other business there were three newly elected board members, Deborah Guyer, Kelly Little and Dusty Hackett were sworn in.
The board also voted to approve the change of time for the SCSD#3 Class of 2025 Graduation on Sunday, May 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
They also approved a three year term for Superintendent Chase Christensen, and approved to hire Justin Kidneigh as the head coach for boys basketball and Justin Hansen as assistant coach.
The board voted to approve of a call for bids for two one-half ton MPV with 4WD rated to carry 8 or 9 passengers for school and activity buses. Christensen added that the routes are going well but they always need good drivers.
Christensen talked about the WAEA accountability report.
In the ‘From the Board’ portion of the meeting, Deborah Guyer commented on the Veterans Day Program held on Monday at the Clear Creek Valley Veteran’s Memorial and the Clearmont Community Center.

The next meeting will be on December 11 at 7 p.m. At that meeting there will be election of officers.
