Scam of the Month

Representatives from the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office were on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss the scam of the month. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Sheridan County Undersheriff and Patrol Lieutenant Doug Sanders discussed a recent scam where victims were contacted by phone or text messaging.

SRO Deputy Kody Lamb talked about the proactive steps a potential scam victim can take to avoid being scammed.

Both Lamb and Sanders said it’s also a good idea to consistently check your bank account and credit card statements for any fraudulent charges or activity.
