Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey Team had some trouble staying consistent this past weekend.

The team won on Friday at home vs. Gillette 8-1, but lost on Saturday at home vs. Rapid City 2-1 in overtime.

In Friday’s game Jameson Clark scored 4 goals for the cause.

Head Coach J.J. Santagata says Sheridan has split their last 4 games and the team is not at 100%.

The Hawks conclude their 8-game homestand this weekend with games vs. Butte both tomorrow and Saturday.

The puck drops in both games at 7:30pm.

Sheridan HS Volleyball: Sheridan may not have brought home any kind of trophy from the state tournament this year, but they did gain something else.

After finishing 3rd last year, players noticed that they were getting more respect from various opponents this year, and that other teams were taking a more serious approach against the Lady Broncs.

Head Coach Danielle Sullivan says another challenge this year was that the 4A competition in general was more difficult.

Sheridan finished the 2025 season with a record of 21-14.

Tongue River HS Volleyball: The Tongue River Volleyball team placed 3rd in Class 2A at the State Tournament earlier this month.

The Lady Eagles lost their share of talent to graduation and ended up playing in a very strong East Conference, which had teams place 1st through 4th at the end of the season.

TR Head Coach Kristen Masters says the players lived up to her expectations and getting that win last month at Big Horn was one of the high points of the season.

Tongue River finished the 2025 season with a record of 29-9.

University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys lost their first game of the season last night at Sam Houston State 78-70.

Free throws made the difference in that game, as the Pokes were 9 of 22 from the charity stripe, compared to 29 of 33 for the opposition.

The Cowboys were led by Leland Walker, who led all scorers with 24 points.

Nasir Meyer scored 11 off of the bench and Abou Magassa put in 10.

UW next plays this coming Sunday at home vs. Norfolk State.
