Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey Team Retire Kiefer Dunham’s Jersey
A Big Horn High School grad who left his mark on the ice, is moving on to his future, while the team he played for remembers his past.
Earlier this month, the Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey team retired jersey number #13 for Kiefer Dunham, who played 5 seasons with the team.
Per rules of the NA3HL, he has aged out of the league, but not before he scored 34 goals and provided 42 assists in his time with the team.
Dunham says it’s been a roller coaster ride and he saw quite a lot.
“My first season I got here, I don’t even know if we won 10 games. I’ve been all over the board. I’ve had J.J. step in who’s just been a great coach, really poured his heart into this organization and made it all possible for me and I got to see this whole team dynamic kind of change and it’s great to see all that hard work of the players who stuck it out this long and then J.J. also, and then Sparks who’s also on some of those hard teams and some of those good teams in the past still here and turn the program back to its old glory days.”
Dunham is a 2024 graduate of Big Horn High School and says he plans to pursue a career in aviation.
