Violet Fryberger Of Sheridan HS To Join Cheer Team At Chadron State College

One Sheridan High School Cheerleader is hoping to take flight with her new squad.

Violet Fryberger has signed an offer to join the cheer team at Chadron State College in Nebraska.

She says she’s been cheering since Elementary School and she was only 1 of 2 that received an offer to join the team at a recent prospect camp.

Fryberger adds cheerleading activities help her stay in and/or get into better shape.

“I want to be able to be stronger for myself. Being strong is a big part of my position in cheer, because I’m a backspot and those are supposed to be the core. Lift the flyer up, so I want to be strong for that and just for myself and I want to improve my tumbling, because I think doing a back flip would be amazing.”

Fryberger says the one advantage she had at the prospect camp, was that she was the only backspot in attendance.

She plans to major in studio art.

Her older brother, Harvey, graduated from Sheridan High School last year.

He is a former Bronc football player and currently plays for the Chadron State College Eagle Football Team.
