Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey Team is one win away from returning to the Fraser Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2021.
Only Helena, who has made it the last 4 consecutive years, stands in their way, but the team has already gotten past the opposition once.
The Hawks prevailed 5-4 in overtime in Wednesday’s game 1 on the road.
Zachary Marsell knocked in the winner, a little more than 6 ½ minutes into the extra period.
Vincent Leaf scored twice in the game, the first one happening 30 seconds after the game started.
He says Sheridan knew Helena was a little bit tired and took advantage of the situation.
The Bighorns would regroup and took a 4-3 lead, less than 1 minute into the 3rd period.
Leaf adds the Hawks didn’t let the situation rattle them, and the team trusted their system.
