Sheridan Mavericks/Lady Mavericks Lacrosse: The Sheridan Mavericks started their season this past weekend with 2 wins in 2 games.

The team underwent a few delays as one opponent showed up late, and then the second game had a lightning delay.

Head Coach Jon Bongiorno says aside from the delays, the team played smart and used teamwork.

The Mavericks are scheduled to play 2 games at home this weekend.

Sheridan plays the Jackson JV team on Friday and Helena on Saturday.

Start times for both games are 5pm.

Meanwhile, the Lady Mavericks started their season with a few bumps in the road.

Playing at the JV level, the team is adjusting to a 6-on-6 style of play, due to a lack of numbers on many teams.

Head Coach Brianna Scholl says players are taking things in stride, even though the results have not been what they want them to be.

The Lady Mavericks are scheduled to play games this weekend in Bozeman.

Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The season for the Sheridan Hawks ended 1 month ago, but a couple of players recently received some post-season recognition.

He was also named the team forward and MVP of the season.

Watson ended up with 36 points as a defensiveman and was named the team defensive player of the year.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost last night at Houston 7-6.

Hunter Goodman hit 2 solo home runs and Jordan Beck provided 1 long ball of his own, but the team came up 1 run short.

The Rocks and Astros will play game 2 of their 3 game series today, starting at 6:10pm.

The Avs are scheduled to close out the regular season with their home finale tomorrow vs. Seattle.
