Barrasso: Democrats Should Focus on Supporting Our Troops, Not More Reckless Spending
U.S. Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming spoke on the Senate floor Wednesday about how the Biden administration’s policies have made our country less safe and emboldened our enemies. Barrasso called on the Senate to support our troops and finally pass a National Defense Authorization Act.
Barrasso also talked about the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan.
Barrasso said China is also building about 300 missile silos and plans to have 1,000 nuclear missiles in the next eight years. China recently tested a hypersonic weapon capable of use around the world. These are pressing challenges, challenges like we haven’t seen since the cold war.

Dr Barrasso – if you and your repub cronies would support this constitutional democracatic experiment by honoring legitimate elections and the peaceful transfer of power, the country would be stronger in relation to foreign enemies. Remember the oath you took? “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.” You and your party have sold out this democratic experiment for the sake of self benefit – power, money and status. Instead of “faithfully discharge the duties of the office”, you keep stoking internal rancor. You are a man without quality, without integrity, and without honor.

Just a reminder, john, your friend, mitch mconnell voted for the green new deal infrastructure bill along with many other repubs. A bill that sen sinema (AZ) said didnt have enough dem votes to pass. Did you do anything to try and sway your repub colleagues not to vote for it? Did you tell your dear friend mitch not to vote for it? Actions speak louder than words….something that is rare coming from your office.

Senator Barrasso’s in-ability to condemn Donald Trump’s support of those who wanted to hang Mike Pence on January 6 is appalling and dangerous. His cowardice is making this country unsafe. Regarding spending where was Barrasso’s concern when Trump was in power. The “tax benefits” passed under Trump and supported by Barrasso have proven to be a colossal failure that has caused the Nation’s deficit to sky rocket. The only ones who benefitted from this legislation were super rich people and companies.

Dear Senator C- have you seen todays (11-19) Casper star? 160000 military families are food insecure- here’s a thought, howabout we scrap a whole bunch of wasteful military hardware contracts (the f-35 comes to mind- billions over budget and still not combat ready) and use that money to pay soldiers and their families a living wage. If you were as worried about military waste as you claim to be about Medicaid waste you could probably save enough money to pay for salaries and expand health care which would barely be a rounding error in the bloated military budget.
