Healthcare Panel on Coronavirus

Sheridan County health officials hosted a coronavirus healthcare panel Thursday. The panelists included Sheridan County Public Health Officer Dr. Ian Hunter, Sheridan Memorial Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr. John Addlesperger, and Debra Haar, County Nurse Manager at Sheridan County Public Health. Dr. Hunter said that we need to flatten the curve to avoid overwhelming our healthcare system.
Dr. Addlesperger talked about the hospital’s current capacity and how they are preparing for a possible influx of patients.

Thank you for the excellent response of all parts of the medical delivery system in Sheridan County. The communications has been excellent. And thank you for the personal risks you are taking for all of us.
I realize that tests are not sufficient at present to test everyone. But when they are available, is there a plan to test as many people as possible to find those who are infected but not presenting symptoms? I learned of a small town that tested all residents, found and isolated those who tested positive. They reduced the amplitude of the curve to near 0.
