COVID-19
SMH Chief Medical Officer on Elective Surgery

The first case of COVID-19 in Wyoming was reported Wednesday by the Wyoming Department of Health as a Sheridan County woman who had recently traveled domestically. The patient and all known close contacts have been identified and contacted by the WDH and are currently in self-isolation in their homes. During his visit Friday as a guest on our news talk show Public Pulse, Sheridan Memorial Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr. John Addlesperger discussed all things coronavirus. One of the issues Dr. Addlesperger touched on was whether now is a good time for people to have an elective surgery procedure.
The hospital has dedicated a phone line for those that are experiencing symptoms of coronavirus, which include fever, coughing and shortness of breath. The number is not for questions or information, only for those that feel they may be infected with COVID-19. The number to call is 672-1004.
