Governor Gordon: ‘We Are Not Trying to Shutdown Wyoming’

Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon held a news conference Wednesday to provide an update on Wyoming’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Gordon said that it is imperative that people adhere to the three public health orders that have been issued in the past week in an effort to slow the spread of the virus.
Gordon said that as testing increases in the state, the number of confirmed cases will also increase, which could potentially overwhelm the healthcare system if people don’t follow the orders that have been put in place.
Governor Gordon said that they are assessing the situation daily regarding the three public health orders and they expect to have updated guidance by the end of the week. All three of the public health orders can be viewed here: https://governor.wyo.gov/
