Superintendent of Sheridan County School District #2, Scott Stults and retired Sheridan High School Activities Director Don Julian made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss the Sheridan Event Center.
The vision for the center is an approximately 59,500 square foot indoor facility which would provide seating for 1,600 people with an overall cost of the proposed facility in the range of $27 million.
The planned location of the center is a $1.4 million plot near Sheridan High School donated by the Scott Foundation.
The facility is intended to be a center for the entire community, with spaces utilized by the high school; the concept includes the construction of Career Development Center for technical training and Event Center sports activities. Stults said the center’s use should facilitate a resident and visitors needs from birth into their senior years.

According to Julian, the project has gained momentum due in large part to donations. Should community members wish to make a donation, it can be made to the SHS Booster Club, who have a line-item for the project.
