Pat BlairTwo new cases of the COVID-19 virus have been confirmed in Sheridan County, which brings the number of cases to eight.
According to the Sheridan County Incident Management Team, the two new cases have been linked to previous Sheridan County COVID-19 cases.
Both patients are at home in isolation, reported doing well and being monitored by Sheridan County Public Health. Sheridan County Public Health and the Wyoming Department of Health are conducting follow-up investigations to determine at-risk close contacts of the new reported cases.
Sheridan County Health Officer Dr. Ian Hunter has again asked Sheridan County residents to follow Wyoming Department of Health and Center for Disease Control guidelines and statewide orders.
He said people should not become complacent but should stay home if they’re sick and continue to practice social distancing.
He said he understands that families may need to venture out to get groceries or essential household items but that, when they do, only have one member of the family enter stores. He said that will reduce the risk of exposure and help keep store crowds to a minimum.
