Sheridan HS Wrestling Teams Preparing For Ron Thon: The Sheridan High School boys and girls wrestling teams are back in action tonight in a dual at Kelly Walsh.
Then it’s onto Riverton tomorrow and Saturday for the annual Ron Thon Invitational, which is considered a preview of the state meet and that meet is one month away.
The big difference is at the state meet, you only wrestle against opponents from schools within the class that your school is in, whereas at Ron Thon, it’s every wrestler for themselves no matter what class your school is in.
Boys wrestling Coach Shane Shatto says so far this season, all of the 4A teams that Sheridan has been going up against, have been coming after the Broncs, because they’re the defending 4A State Champs.
At Ron Thon, every 3A and 2A team will be coming after them as well, also because Sheridan won this meet last year for the first time.
The Tongue River wrestlers will compete on Saturday at a tournament at Hardin, Montana.
