Sheridan/Johnson County HS Football: The Sheridan High School Football team cashed in on 2 first quarter turnovers, and they were able to hang on from there to win at Campbell County 14-9 this past Friday.

The Broncs are now 3-0 on the season and up next is homecoming on Friday vs. Kelly Walsh.
Tongue River plays their home opener vs. Newcastle on Friday, while Big Horn is at home vs. Glenrock.
Buffalo lost at home vs. Green River 21-13.
The Bison put a late drive together and got a pass down to the 1 yard line, but then the clock ran out.
BHS is at home this Friday vs. Powell.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Volleyball: Sheridan swept Riverton in their home opener back on Saturday.
The Lady Broncs start 4A Northeast quadrant play on Thursday at home vs. Campbell County and also play on Saturday at Thunder Basin.
Big Horn went a combined 8-0 in home games over the course of Thursday through Saturday, sweeping every opponent in the process.
The Lady Rams start 2A Northeast quadrant play this coming Saturday at Wright.
Tongue River went 3-2 with 1 tie at the Rawlins Invitational over the weekend and finished 2nd in the silver bracket.
The Lady Eagles start 3A East Conference play on Friday at Buffalo, and on Saturday at home vs. Newcastle.
Arvada-Clearmont lost at Hulett on Friday 3-zip.
The Lady Panthers are next scheduled to play tomorrow at home against one of the Buffalo sub-varsity teams.
Buffalo went 2-3 at the Rawlins Invitational.
The Lady Bison start 3A East Conference play on Thursday at Douglas and on Friday at home vs. Tongue River.
Kaycee won games at the Wyo Classical Academy and at home vs. Meeteetse, but lost Saturday’s contest at Upton.
The Lady Bucs next play on Thursday at home vs. Midwest.

Sheridan/Johnson County HS Golf: Last week was the 4A East State Qualifying Meet in Gillette.
The top 4 teams, boys and girls, qualified for the state meet, and both Sheridan teams placed 5th, however 3 Broncs and 1 Lady Bronc did make it in, thanks to placing in the top 20 individually.
The 4A State Meet is this Friday and Saturday at Evanston.
At the 3A East Conference Meet at Douglas, Adison Bettinger of Buffalo finished 1st in the girls competition.
The 3A State Meet is this Friday and Saturday at Torrington.
Tongue River will also be participating.
Meanwhile, Big Horn was at a 2-day meet in Wright.
Trevin Skinner was 3rd for the boys and Avery Bolling was 2nd on the girls side.
The 2A State Meet is also in Evanston, with Kemmerer serving as the host team, but since the 4A State Meet is going on at the same time, the 2A State Meet will take place next week Tuesday and Wednesday, September 22nd and 23rd.

Sheridan HS Tennis: The Sheridan boys and girls both won duals at home vs. Thunder Basin and Campbell County back on Saturday.
The North Regional Meet is scheduled to take place this coming Friday and Saturday at Gillette.
Sheridan/Johnson County HS Cross Country: Eli Balkenbush of Sheridan won the boys race in Bozeman, Montana, to lead the Broncs to a 1st place finish back on Saturday.
Lyla Marney of Big Horn was 4th in the girls race.
The Tongue River girls finished 2nd at the Douglas Invitational on Friday, while both the Buffalo boys and girls finished 1st in the team standings in Belle Fourche, South Dakota last week.

Sheridan hosts the Michelle Ludwig Invitational this coming Saturday, at the VA Medical Center.
The varsity boys race starts at 10am and the girls race is at 10:30.
Sheridan/Buffalo HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan won the 4-team Kelly Walsh Invitational back on Saturday.
The Lady Broncs are scheduled to host a dual vs. Thunder Basin on Friday and another home dual vs. Kelly Walsh on Saturday.
Buffalo was 1st out of 4 teams on Friday at Worland and was 2nd at the Powell Invitational on Saturday.
The Lady Bison host a double dual on Friday vs. both Douglas and Newcastle, and visit Worland again on Saturday.

Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks split weekend games at Rapid City to start the season.
The team lost on Friday 5-3, and won on Saturday 4-3 in overtime.
Sheridan is on the road again this weekend with a game on Friday at Helena, and a game on Saturday at Great Falls.
College Football: A weather delay in the 4th quarter provided the extra spark that the Wyoming Cowboys needed, as they would score 2 touchdowns in the final 4 minutes of the game, to win their home opener vs. Northern Colorado 21-13.
Quarterback Tyler Hughes was 18 of 26 passing for 149 yards and was responsible for those last 2 touchdown throws, which ended up in the hands of Charlie Coenen and Kyle Frendt.
Samuel Harris ran for one score in the second quarter.
The defense came through with 2 interceptions and 3 sacks.
UW is next scheduled to play this coming Saturday at Central Michigan.
Kickoff is scheduled for 11am.
Montana State paid a visit to the Mountain West Conference and won at Nevada, 20-7.
Sheridan High School grad Dane Steel caught 3 passes for 38 yards, including a 24 yard touchdown in the first quarter, while Colson Coon rushed 3 times for 22 yards.
The Bobcats are at home this coming Saturday vs. Central Connecticut State.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm.
Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos start their regular season today with the Monday night game at Kansas City.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:15pm and you can hear the game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost all 3 games this past weekend at Detroit.
Friday’s score was 6-2.
Saturday’s score was 11-7.
In that game, Hunter Goodman hit a 3-run home run and Ezequiel Tovar provided a solo shot of his own, but it was not enough.
The Rocks lost yesterday 8-1.
Adael Amador provided the 1, with a solo blast.
Colorado has lost 7 in a row and 8 of the last 9.
The Rockies start a 10-game homestand today with the first of 4-games vs. San Diego.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm.
