Sheridan HS Basketball: It’s March Madness time for Wyoming High School Basketball and a little bit was delivered by the Sheridan High School Girls Basketball team last week.

The Lady Broncs trailed Thunder Basin by 12 mid-way through the 3rd quarter this past Friday, then went on a 17-0 run over the course of 10 ½ minutes to take control of the game and would eventually win.

Sheridan senior Ella Bilyeu says the key to the comeback was continuing to play as a team and not let things fall apart.

The Lady Broncs have the #3 seed for the upcoming 4A East Regional Tournament that will be played at Campbell County.

Sheridan is scheduled to take on the host team in the first round on Thursday at 6pm.

The winner qualifies for the state tournament and will play again on Friday and Saturday.

Thursday’s loser is done for the season.

As for the Sheridan boys, they have the #1 seed and a first round bye in the regional tournament, plus they’re already qualified for the state tournament.

The Broncs will play in the regional semi-finals on Friday at 7:30pm, against the winner of the Thursday game between Cheyenne East vs. Campbell County.


University of Wyoming Men’s and Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirls will play a home double-header today, which is also their last home games of the regular season.

The Cowgirls will take on Grand Canyon University at 5pm.

You can hear it LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.

Then at 8pm, the Cowboys will take on Nevada.

That game can be heard LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Two UW basketball players recently won weekly conference honors.

Nasir Meyer and Jane Rumpf were recently named the Mountain West Conference men’s and women’s basketball freshmen of the week.


UW Athletics Hall Of Fame Class Of 2026: A Buffalo HS Grad as well as a former NFL player and current Sheridan resident, will have his name immortalized next football season.

The UW Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame has announced its Class of 2026.

Chris Prosinski is among the inductees.

The 2006 Bison grad played for UW from 2007-2010, recording 373 tackles, which is 4th in school history.

He was drafted into the NFL in 2011 by Jacksonville, and played a combined 8 seasons with the Jaguars, as well as Philadelphia and Chicago.

Other UW Hall of Fame 2026 inductees include former men’s basketball player Josh Adams, former women’s basketball player Hillary Carlson, former football player Dave Hampton, as well as the 1996 Cowboy Football team.

The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, September 11th, which is 1 day before the football team plays their home opener vs. Northern Colorado.


Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won last night at Utah 128-125.

The Nuggets are next scheduled to play on Thursday at home vs. the LA Lakers.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won last night at LA 4-2.

The Avs are next scheduled to play today at Anaheim.

The puck drops at 8pm.


Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost yesterday at home against the LA Dodgers 7-5.

Mickey Moniak and Kyle Karros each hit solo home runs for the cause, but it was not enough.

The Rocks have today and tomorrow off from competition.

The team is next scheduled to play on Thursday at home vs. Milwaukee.
